Software Engineer with Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Our client is a leading force in the defense and intelligence sector and is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with Top Secret/SCI clearance. This full-time position is based in the heart of McLean, VA, offering a unique blend of career excellence and quality living.

Under this role, the candidate team will actively participate in all Lean Agile processes, including scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions. They will manage the integration and development of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, ensuring that these tasks adhere to established schedules. The team will also provide essential consultation and coordination for resolving problems, scheduling tasks, identifying new resource requirements, and clarifying task details. A solid understanding of cloud environments, such as AWS or Azure, is required. Coordination and collaboration with security, operations, engineering, testing, and other teams are crucial to provide system information and technical support effectively. Additionally, the team will create, manage, and update Jira tickets; design, develop, and modify software systems; document and track vendor software roadmaps for software and patch version updates; conduct unit tests on their software; and perform code reviews. This role demands a proactive and collaborative approach to ensure seamless integration and functionality across all aspects of the development process.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
- Participating in a Lean Agile Development environment.
- Creating detailed designs and related deliverables.
- Converting customer and system requirements into practical designs.
- Crafting system interfaces.
- Building Single Page Applications utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 2+.
- Demonstrating hands-on experience in developing RESTful web services with Java 8+ or using frameworks like Spring Framework 4+ or Spring Security 4+.
- Demonstrating hands-on expertise with and troubleshooting of Internet and Web related protocols and technologies, including Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, or SSL.
- Demonstrating hands-on experience in developing tests with JUnit and Jasmine, and testing platforms like Jest or Karma.
- Demonstrating hands-on experience using DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus.
- Demonstrating hands-on experience with enterprise search technologies, specifically Lucidworks Fusion 4.2.6 or higher.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS
- Recent experience with the Organization’s Lean Agile methodology and ErDoS for reporting sprint MVI burn-up and top line charts, as well as MVI features and user stories.
- FLSS, NES, and Lucidworks Fusion 4.2.6 and higher.
