Well Servicing Trainee Job Description

Reports To: Operator; Tool Pusher

General Summary of Position:

The Trainee is responsible for assisting in the general maintenance of the well servicing rig while working with a mentor to learn all floor duties including rigging up and down, picking up or laying down tubing/rods and other duties as assigned.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Must be able to complete and pass all of the following:

• Motor Vehicle Record & Background Check
• Drug and Alcohol Screening
• Fit for Duty Functional test
• Audiogram and Respirator Fit Test

• Attends and participates in daily JSA and routine safety meetings as scheduled
• Adheres to relevant policies, regulations and standards according to JSA's
• Learns to identify, describe and operate proper hand tools needed for job tasks
• Responsible for keeping equipment, work site, dog house and tools clean and in good working order
• Assist in the daily inspection and maintenance of equipment and tools which may include cleaning, greasing, oil changes and other assigned duties
  
• Complete all safety forms such as near misses, Hazard ID’s, vehicle inspections, and other forms as needed
• Assists in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting the tubing from the rack onto the work floor or vice versa
• Assists in walking the rods when laying down and picking up rods
• Assist in pipe tallying, pipe handling, and nipple up and down of BOP units
• Responsible to stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns and incidents immediately per the standard operating procedures
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience working in similar physical labor work environments

Certifications and Licenses (company will provide training):

• Must have valid Driver’s License
• PEC Safeland Training
• Hydrogen Sulfide Safety Training (H2S)
• OBOW - One Basin One Way
• First Aid/CPR/AED

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach and move about rig location
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, such as rain and extreme heat and cold
• Exposure to loud noises
• Required to lift and move heavy objects regularly
• Required to work beyond 8-hour work day; available to work weekends and holidays if needed
