About This Position
JOB SUMMARY
- JOB REQUIREMENTS
Facilitate the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment and maintains the sterile field while anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team.
CSTs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives, and continued education.
Minimum Education
Completion of approved Surgical Technology Program
Minimum Work Experience
No Previous Experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
CPR-BCLS
Must maintain a valid surgical technologist certification.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Deals effectively with hospital personnel
Advocate of quality and cost effective care
Maintains professional appearance at all times.
Ability to handle confidential information.
