We are currently seeking experienced warehouse professionals, with previous supervisory experience, to join our Calgary Warehouse team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate must have a reliable vehicle or confirmed transportation to work. Our warehouse is not accessible via public transit.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments while ensuring the team’s performance aligns with company standards. This role includes supervising warehouse staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Team Lead will also be expected to operate equipment, participate in monthly inventory cycle counts, and address operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Coordination:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members while maintaining accountability.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback to ensure adherence to company standards.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Oversee the accurate processing and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders, ensuring proper product conditions.
- Conduct quality control checks on shipments and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Manage the secure loading and unloading of deliveries, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory accuracy and organization, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Monitor inventory levels and address discrepancies.
- Coordinate and participate in monthly inventory cycle counts.
Equipment Operation:
- Ensure safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment by all team members.
- Train team members on proper equipment use and compliance with safety guidelines.
General Operations:
- Maintain an organized and clean work area in accordance with safety and company policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to missing documents, shipments, or deliveries.
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes and workflows.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Position Requirements
Skills Required – Technical
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safe lifting methods and warehouse best practices.
- Proficiency in operating material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems and computer applications such as Excel and email.
Skills Required – Non-Technical
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.

Education and Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
- Forklift certification or equivalent experience required.
