About This Position

Lower Columbia College is seeking a dedicated and responsible student for Parking Enforcement. This position would ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant use of campus parking facilities, and will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing campus parking regulations while providing a helpful and approachable presence to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Work Schedule:

  • Shifts may vary, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends depending on campus needs.

  • Flexible hours available for students.


  • Patrol campus parking areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations and policies.

  • Issue parking citations for violations, such as expired permits, unauthorized parking, improper parking, and other infractions.

  • Assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with parking-related inquiries, providing directions to available parking spaces and offering guidance on regulations.

  • Respond to reports of parking issues, including abandoned vehicles or vehicles blocking traffic or designated areas.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of citations issued, including documenting the nature of violations and relevant vehicle information.

  • Collaborate with campus security and other departments to resolve parking-related issues and ensure a safe campus environment.

  • Regularly update and familiarize with parking regulations, policies, and any campus changes that may affect enforcement.

  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting overall campus safety and operations.


  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or experience in law enforcement, public safety, or customer service is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to record accurate information.

  • Ability to work independently, with strong time management skills.

  • Must be physically capable of walking long distances and standing for extended periods in inclement weather.

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

  • Prior experience in parking enforcement, customer service, or a similar role is preferred, but not required.

  • Must have valid driver's license.
