Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasional exposure to loud noises, radiation, blood or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people; and occasional (<10% of the time) job-related travel.
Shift
Primarily Monday-Friday day shift and requires some evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, due to on call rotation after hours.
Job Summary
The Patient Access Supervisor provides direct supervision of the patient access admitting and registration staff. Responsibilities include hiring, training, assignment, and monitoring of work performance. The Patient Access Supervisor participates in quality improvement initiatives and works collaboratively to enhance the overall patient experience, meet departmental goals and metrics, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies & procedures.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will be goal oriented and will possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. He/she will have the ability to multitask effectively and provide exceptional customer service.

Preferred Education/Experience
Experience in process improvement initiatives in a managerial or supervisory role and experience with registration, insurance, and healthcare revenue cycle processes. Bachelor’s and 2 years related experience preferred.
