Product Developer (Not IT) in Concord, North Carolina at Safewaze

We are seeking a Product Developer to join our Product Team that will assist in the development process from the concept phase through the development cycle and to successful completion. WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• ERP item set up and maintenance- uploading photography, manuals, TDS, PDRS, etc
• Assist with photography and image retouching for product and marketing needs
• Design product labels and work with Testing Director to ensure accuracy to the latest ANSI/OSHA standards
• Build and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) for production goods
• Create and maintain all Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
• Work closely with Marketing on product data in PIM system, keeping all item information accurate
• Work closely with Sample Maker and suppliers to create prototypes
• Communicate with suppliers on design direction, samples, and product related matters.
• Communicate and collaborate with all internal stakeholders (Product, Sales, marketing, Manufacturing, etc.)
• Assist in quality control on developed products and production goods received
• Maintain sample library including confirmation samples, fabrics, trims, findings and other materials
• Support the Product team in other day-to-day product development tasks as needed

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• 2+ years of proven Product Development experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, and working knowledge of PIM/PLM/ERP systems
• Adobe Creative Suite skills required with proficiency in Illustrator and InDesign, and a basic knowledge of Photoshop
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, as well as attention to detail
• Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to proofread for grammatical errors
