This temporary position supports packaging, shipping, and, when invited, office operations, helping maintain an efficient, organized, and sanitary work environment throughout the holiday season. As a Seasonal Bakery Packaging Assistant, You Will:- Meaningful work: Be part of a mission-driven organization during a busy and rewarding holiday season.

- Hands-on experience: Gain experience in bakery production, packaging, shipping, and event support.
- Skill development: Develop organizational, supervisory, and customer service skills.
- Make an impact: Contribute to delivering quality bakery products to customers and supporters.
- Instruct and supervise volunteers in the bakery packaging and shipping departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the packaging area at all times.
- Keep the dish area clean and ensure cleaning utensils are processed through the dishwasher as needed.
- Remove garbage throughout the shift as required.
- Transport dirty bakery linens to the laundry area at the end of each shift.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events.
- Leave all work areas clean, neat, and organized at the conclusion of each shift.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as needed.
- On-the-job training provided regarding bakery packaging, shipping procedures, sanitation practices, and safety standards.
- Opportunities to work alongside experienced team members and volunteers.
- Knowledge of equipment commonly used in a food service environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and other departments.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Leadership and volunteer supervision skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic computer proficiency, including Excel and Outlook (office assignments).
