Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and other healthcare professionals.

  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, nursing schools, referrals, and community outreach.

  • Conduct preliminary candidate screenings and interviews to evaluate qualifications, clinical experience, and suitability for patient assignments.

  • Coordinate hiring, onboarding, credential verification, and employment documentation.

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified nursing candidates.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with nursing programs, vocational schools, and community organizations.

Clinical Staffing & Scheduling

  • Coordinate nursing assignments based on patient acuity, clinical needs, nurse qualifications, availability, and geographic location.

  • Assist with scheduling and maintaining consistent nursing coverage for patients receiving private duty nursing services.

  • Communicate with field nurses regarding assignments, schedules, and staffing updates.

  • Respond to staffing shortages and coordinate coverage for open shifts.

  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors and management to ensure appropriate staffing and continuity of patient care.

Clinical Case Management Support

  • Assist RN clinical supervisors and management with coordination of patient care services.

  • Serve as a communication liaison between nursing staff, patients, families, and the clinical management team.

  • Support new patient admissions, nursing assignments, and care coordination activities.

  • Assist with monitoring required nursing documentation and identifying missing or incomplete records.

  • Communicate changes in patient condition, family concerns, or clinical issues to the appropriate RN supervisor.

  • Assist with follow-up on physician orders, nursing documentation, and clinical administrative requirements under appropriate supervision.

  • Support quality assurance initiatives and compliance with company policies and applicable healthcare regulations.

  • Perform clinical support duties consistent with the LVN scope of practice and applicable supervision requirements.

Employee Relations & Retention

  • Maintain positive relationships with field nurses and other healthcare personnel.

  • Provide ongoing communication and support to employees throughout their assignments.

  • Assist with resolving scheduling concerns and employee-related issues.

  • Identify opportunities to improve nurse retention, employee satisfaction, and staffing efficiency.

  • Collaborate with management to develop effective recruitment and retention strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current, active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is mandatory.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in both English and Spanish with applicants, employees, patients, and families.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care, and professional clinical standards.

  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, email, and electronic documentation systems.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient and employee information.

  • Dependable, self-motivated, professional, and results-oriented.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in healthcare recruitment, staffing, scheduling, or case coordination.

  • Experience working in home health, private duty nursing, or a healthcare staffing organization.

  • Experience caring for patients with complex medical needs, including ventilators, tracheostomies, G-tubes, and other skilled nursing requirements.

  • Familiarity with Medi-Cal, private duty nursing authorizations, and home healthcare operations.

  • Experience communicating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), scheduling platforms, and applicant tracking systems.

  • Previous leadership, supervisory support, or administrative nursing experience.
