The DCH Preschool is seeking a creative, caring, and collaborative Preschool Teacher to join our growing early childhood program.

We are expanding our preschool program to better support working families while continuing to provide a warm, play-based learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

Located on the campus of the Dedham Community House, our preschool features expansive outdoor play and learning areas, unique enrichment opportunities, and nearly 2,200 square feet of indoor gym space for movement and active play throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging classroom experiences
• Foster curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children’s social-emotional growth and school readiness
• Communicate effectively with families
• Observe and document student progress
• Work collaboratively with co-teachers and leadership
• Maintain classroom safety and organization
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development
• Ensure compliance with EEC regulations and DCH policies

Qualifications

• EEC Teacher Certification required
• Preschool classroom experience preferred
• Degree in Education or related field preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for play-based learning and child-centered education

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM
