Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company with multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently looking for a GENERAL LABOURER to join our BURLINGTON team. This is a full-time, summer contract opportunity (June – September) that will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the production area, restocking essential consumables, and assisting with general plant upkeep to ensure efficient and safe operations. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!
This position operates on a straight night shift (11PM-7AM) and is eligible for shift premium.
Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning Responsibilities
- Clean around and underneath presses including:
- Manual presses
- Automatic presses.
- Remove dust, debris, excess materials, and waste from production areas.
- Ensure workspace remains clean, safe, and compliant with company standards.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
- Clean around and underneath presses including:
- Restocking Consumables
- Refill and organize production consumables including:
- Cotton cloths
- Cotton flower
- Sandpaper
- Liquids such as:
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Metal polish
- Soap/water mixture
- Mold grease
- Monitor inventory and notify supervisors when supplies are low.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
- Refill and organize production consumables including:
- Complete small handman jobs
- Hang a picture frame to a wall
- Assemble an Ikea small furniture
Physical Demands
- Required to stand for long periods of time (duration of shift).
- Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50lbs.
- Involves repetitive motions for duration of shift.
Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Use of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory.
- Must be willing to work overtime as business needs require.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the job.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work well with others and in a team atmosphere.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
