What You'll Do

As a Home Care Nurse, you'll provide skilled nursing care based on each client's individual needs and care plan while using your clinical judgment to promote their health, safety, and independence.

Depending on each client's needs, you may:

• Assess client needs using the nursing process
• Monitor and report changes in a client's condition to physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Provide education and teaching to clients and family members
• Delegate tasks to other Kore Cares personnel in accordance with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act
• Perform wound dressing and wound care
• Set up medications and monitor medication compliance
• Assess vital signs, skin condition, nutritional status, and mobility
• Assess proper use of glucometers
• Provide toe and nail care
• Provide catheter care
• Perform blood draws
• Provide health education and communicate with physicians and pharmacists
• Maintain accurate records of client condition and services provided
• Complete other nursing duties outlined in the client's individualized care plan

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a compassionate, dependable nurse who enjoys providing personalized care and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients in their homes.

Requirements:

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of South Dakota
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
• Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English
• Proof of eligibility for employment in the United States
