Job Description

Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) Team Lead with TS/SCI Clearance with CI-Poly
Aurora, CO

Join IDS International’s National Security Services team supporting secure & mission-critical environments.
The CST Team Lead supports secure construction site operations in Aurora, Colorado. This role requires CST certification, strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and strict adherence to security, safety, and reporting procedures. The position includes both indoor and outdoor work in an active construction environment and requires coordination with government, customer, contractor, and security leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage CST site coverage and provide day-to-day direction to CSTs.
  • Coordinate with government, customer, contractor, and security leadership.
  • Monitor construction activity and ensure site security procedures are followed.
  • Maintain daily logs, reports, incident documentation, and required security records.
  • Report security concerns, construction deviations, and potential risks through the proper leadership chain.
  • Provide site orientation to newly hired CSTs on local procedures, reporting expectations, documentation standards, and escalation requirements.

Required Qualifications
Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) required
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen
Age: 21 years or older *Note this is a government, not a company, requirement
Certification: Active CST certification required
Education: Bachelor’s or associate degree
Required Experience:
  • CST certification required before placement.
  • Secure construction, SCIF, SAP, CST, ICD 705, access control, escort, or physical security experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in an active construction environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout secure facilities for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work outdoors in summer heat and winter cold, walk up to 5 miles per day.
  • Must be able to perform duties requiring manual dexterity, verbal and written communication, and the ability to read, understand, and apply written and spoken instructions.
  • Position may require occasional lifting and/or movement of moderate amounts of weight, depending on assignment requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with NRO or NSA within the past 12–18 months for crossover suitability

Work Schedule & Conditions
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

* Must be able to work independently, follow site security procedures, remain alert and professional at all times, and perform duties in an active construction environment. Site orientation may be provided to newly hired CSTs on local procedures, reporting expectations, documentation standards, and escalation requirements; however, site orientation is not CST training and does not replace the CST certification requirement.
While on duty, personal devices and non-work activities are not permitted when performing CST responsibilities or monitoring secure construction activity.
Employees are not permitted to operate facility equipment or systems at any time.

Compensation & Benefits
Rate: $ 50.00 per hour
Benefits: Health, 401(k), PTO & Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays are available to all W2 employees of IDS
