Staff Nurse/ER

Position Title: Staff Nurse Emergency Room

Shift: Days

Status: Part-time

Compensation: $35.00- $50.00

Position Purpose:

The Licensed Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.

Essential Functions (list in order of importance including measures)

1. Implements the plan of care; within the concepts of the Licensed Registered Nurse curriculum; with consideration for safety in practice; according to established prioritization of needs; documenting and communicating nursing interventions and responses of patient(s) to care. 50%

2. Evaluates patient(s) responses to nursing care rendered; documents and communicates evaluation data to appropriate health care team members; contributes to the modification of the nursing plan of care based on ongoing evaluation. 20%

3. Assesses patient(s) by direct observation and data collection. Records and reports objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner. Reports the patient(s) condition and or change in condition as well as signs and symptoms that deviate from normal health status. 10%

4. Develops individualized patient care plan. 10%

5. Collaborates with team members by sharing relevant information; demonstrating initiative, and supporting team decisions and work life of the department. 5%

6. RN may delegate nursing activities to other professional nurses or licensed practical nurses within their scope of practice. 5%

General Job Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills

• EKG monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation (ICU,Tele,ED, Peds)

• Airway and ventilator management (ICU,ED, Peds, Nursery)

• ACLS (Tele, ICU, ED, PACU, L&D), PALS (ED, Peds), NRP (Nursery, L&D, Mother/Baby)

• BLS (all units)
