We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new manufacturing facility located within the Panasonic Energy of North America Gigafactory in De Soto, Kansas.

Soode Kansas Corporation is fully owned by Alconix Corporation, a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. Our Kansas operation manufactures and supplies precision top-cap components for lithium-ion battery cells used by Panasonic Energy.

Summary:

The Visual Inspector – Manufacturing is primarily responsible for visually inspecting small precision metal parts for visible defects. This is a detail-focused and repetitive manufacturing position performed primarily at an assigned inspection station. The role requires patience, consistency, and the ability to maintain concentration while inspecting defects or abnormalities of a high volume of small components.

Responsibilities:

• Visually inspect small precision metal components for visible defects or irregularities.
• Identify parts that do not meet established visual quality standards.
• Separate or identify nonconforming parts according to established procedures.
• Follow visual inspection standards, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain consistent inspection quality throughout the shift.
• Accurately complete basic inspection or production documentation as required.
• Notify the appropriate manager or team member when defects or quality concerns are identified.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection station.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform repetitive visual inspection while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, or inspection preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform consistent visual inspection tasks.
• Good vision and ability to visually identify small defects on metal components.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry is preferred.
• Ability to work reliably in a fast-paced, team-oriented, multi-national manufacturing environment.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Qualification:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to visually inspect small parts for extended periods with sustained concentration.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

• Required to wear safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection at all times as designated.
