About the Role
Regent Medical Properties is seeking a licensed and experienced HVAC Technician to install, service, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems across residential and commercial properties in New Jersey. This role requires the credentials necessary to bid on and perform HVAC contracting work in the state and is well suited to a technician who takes pride in reliable, code-compliant workmanship and strong customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose, install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Prepare and submit accurate bids and estimates for HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance jobs.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify issues before they become costly repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with New Jersey state and local building, mechanical, and safety codes.
• Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and job documentation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with property owners, tenants, and building managers regarding scope of work, timelines, and costs.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls as needed.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order.
Required Qualifications
• Current New Jersey HVACR license (or credential recognized by the NJ State Board of Examiners of Master HVACR Contractors) qualifying the individual to bid on and perform HVAC contracting work in New Jersey — required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Proven experience servicing HVAC systems in both residential and commercial settings.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
• Additional certifications (NATE, OSHA 10/30, or manufacturer-specific training).
• Experience preparing competitive bids for commercial HVAC contracts.
• Familiarity with building automation or energy-management systems.
