Job Description

Senior Data and Technology Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data and Technology Manager based in United States.

The Senior Data and Technology Manager will play a central role in strengthening data and technology capabilities across a nationwide network of partner organizations.
This position combines hands-on systems administration, data management, technical support, and user enablement.
You will help ensure that CRM, analytics, organizing, and fundraising systems remain reliable, accurate, and aligned with evolving program needs.
A major part of the role involves supporting and training non-technical users, translating complex technical concepts into practical and accessible guidance.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams, affiliates, vendors, and consultants to solve problems and improve technology adoption.
The role offers significant opportunities to build scalable systems, improve data quality, and expand technical capacity across a diverse network.
Candidates who bring strong organizing-sector experience, curiosity, patience, and a commitment to social impact will be especially well positioned to succeed.

Accountabilities
  • Partner with the Data and Technology team to lead day-to-day administration of the organization’s EveryAction environment and ensure systems effectively support program needs.
  • Maintain operational technology systems and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address technical requirements and improve system functionality.
  • Respond to data and technology requests from staff and affiliate organizations, providing timely, practical, and user-focused support.
  • Train and support affiliate staff in the effective use of EveryAction and the adoption of established data architecture and organizing practices.
  • Maintain data integrity and cleanliness across CRM, organizing, fundraising, and related systems through data quality control, de-duplication, cleaning, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Administer key CRM, analytics, and data platforms such as EveryAction, Salesforce, BigQuery, CARTO, and other organizing or movement technology tools as assigned.
  • Identify technology and training needs across the network and develop accessible training materials, resources, and learning sessions to address them.
  • Build technology and data capacity across a diverse network by helping users adopt effective systems, workflows, and data practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, affiliates, vendors, consultants, and leadership to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and align technology solutions with organizational priorities.
  • Participate in additional projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to a collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented environment.
  • Travel periodically to participate in in-person trainings, meetings, actions, and other activities with affiliates and partners.

Requirements

  • Significant experience administering EveryAction and/or NGP VAN MyCampaign, with the ability to connect program objectives and user needs to system functionality.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining data, including working with large datasets, performing data cleaning, de-duplication, quality control, and data integrity processes.
  • Experience creating and delivering technical training for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently to non-technical audiences and communicate effectively across different backgrounds and experiences.
  • Strong customer service, technical support, client success, or user-support experience.
  • Experience working in a base-building, organizing, advocacy, nonprofit, or similarly mission-driven environment is valuable.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Mobilize, Hustle, or other movement-oriented technology platforms is a plus.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative, practical, and solutions-oriented approach to user and systems challenges.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and workflows as organizational needs evolve.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues, affiliates, vendors, and consultants.
  • Patience, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset when supporting users who may have limited technical experience.
  • Strong commitment to social, racial, and economic justice and a deep understanding of issues affecting low-wage workers, immigrant communities, communities of color, disabled people, LGBTQ+ communities, and people at the intersections of these communities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and collaborating effectively across a distributed organization.
  • Relevant experience is valued based on demonstrated ability to meet the needs of the role rather than a strict number of years of experience.

Benefits

  • Starting salary of $85,000, with potential progression up to $95,000 based on factors established through the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
  • Employment terms governed by a collective bargaining agreement, with salary determined through an established compensation system.
  • Health insurance.
  • Dental insurance.
  • Vision insurance.
  • 15 vacation days during the first year.
  • 12 sick days per year.
  • Additional paid time off, including holidays.
  • Employer contributions to 401(k) plans.
  • Full-time, exempt position.
  • Remote work across the United States, with DC-area candidates potentially working from the office one or two days per week when needed.
  • Periodic travel opportunities for in-person trainings, meetings, and activities with partner organizations.
  • Opportunity to work on technology and data initiatives that support large-scale organizing, advocacy, and community impact.
  • Collaborative environment with opportunities to build technical capacity and improve systems across a diverse national network.
