Primary Function

Perform comprehensive electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on production machinery and infrastructure throughout the mill facility.

Basic Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair motor bearings, control panels, switches, wiring, transformers, and industrial breakers.
• Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance within assigned plant areas.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and fork trucks to transport electrical supplies, spare parts, or heavy machinery components.
• Read, interpret, and work from electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electromechanical rebuilds of plant production equipment.
• Assist in installing new industrial machinery and relocating existing manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following all industrial safety guidelines.

Position Details & Supervision

• Supervision: Works independently with general direction; reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Work Environment: Industrial manufacturing facility. Candidates must be comfortable working in environments that require appropriate PPE.

Tools and Equipment Used

• Standard electrical repair tools, wrenches, sledges, voltmeters, rope and rope blocks, soldering torches, jacks, armature testing equipment, magnetos, pliers, screwdrivers, and related hand tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Credentials:

• Must have a two (2) year post-high school education in electrical technology, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Must achieve a passing score on the Ramsey RR47-A test (or equivalent) and applicable test stand.
• Must be able to demonstrate practical electrical knowledge during a walkthrough print reading assessment.

Key Technical Skills & Experience:

• Technical Experience: Previous electrical maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Voltage Experience: Minimum of 3 years or more of experience working with 480V 3-phase power systems.
• Schematic Reading: Advanced ability to interpret complex blueprints, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Hands-on Skills: Working knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical principles, analytical troubleshooting ability, and tac-welding skills.
