This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Social Media Management Account Lead based in United States.

This is a senior client leadership role focused on building and growing strategic social media partnerships. You’ll shape social strategies that connect audience insights, platform behavior, cultural trends, and broader business objectives. The role combines hands-on social expertise with account leadership, operational ownership, and people management. You’ll work closely with creative, influencer marketing, paid media, analytics, strategy, and sales teams to deliver integrated programs. You’ll also guide clients through an evolving social landscape while identifying opportunities to strengthen performance and expand partnerships. This is an opportunity to have meaningful influence across both client outcomes and the development of a high-performing social team.

Accountabilities
  • Lead social media strategy development based on client objectives, audience insights, platform behaviors, cultural trends, and measurable business goals.

  • Translate broader marketing priorities into clear channel, content, community, and engagement strategies.

  • Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor and primary point of connection.

  • Lead strategic business reviews, content planning sessions, performance presentations, and recommendations that turn data into actionable next steps.

  • Oversee social media programs across content planning, publishing, community management, reporting, optimization, and day-to-day account delivery.

  • Guide Social Media Managers in developing editorial calendars, content briefs, channel plans, and proactive recommendations.

  • Oversee Community Managers and ensure engagement strategies strengthen audience relationships while protecting brand reputation.

  • Own account scopes, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and overall operational health, proactively addressing risks and escalations.

  • Monitor social performance and emerging trends, identifying opportunities to improve results and strengthen client strategies.

  • Manage and mentor Social Media Managers and Community Managers, providing clear expectations, feedback, coaching, and career development.

  • Partner with Creative, Production, Influencer Marketing, Paid Media, Strategy, Analytics, and Sales teams to deliver integrated client programs.

  • Identify account expansion and upsell opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Strategy teams.

  • Contribute social expertise to RFPs, proposals, and new business pitches.

  • Stay current on platform updates, cultural shifts, emerging formats, and evolving social behaviors, sharing relevant insights and best practices.

  • Establish processes that improve quality, efficiency, consistency, and scalability across account delivery.

  • Contribute thought leadership and knowledge sharing across the broader social media management organization.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, account management, or a related field, including significant client-facing responsibility.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading social media strategies for complex or enterprise-level brands.

  • Strong expertise in organic social media, content strategy, community management, platform best practices, and social measurement.

  • Experience managing and mentoring Social Media Managers, Community Managers, or comparable client-facing teams.

  • Proven ability to build senior client relationships and navigate complex feedback, competing priorities, escalations, and business objectives.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach, with the ability to translate performance data into clear insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Excellent operational skills, including experience managing scopes, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional workflows.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for account growth and strengthen long-term client partnerships.

  • Strong understanding of evolving social platforms, cultural trends, audience behavior, and emerging content formats.

  • Experience collaborating across paid media, influencer marketing, creative, production, strategy, or analytics is an asset.

  • A proactive, strategic, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to balance client needs, team development, and business priorities.

Benefits
  • Compensation: $110,000–$140,000 OTE, with final compensation determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and role scope.

  • Market-based, data-driven compensation practices with regular compensation reviews.

  • Eligibility for various benefits plans for permanent team members.

  • Remote-friendly work model, with select positions supporting fully remote arrangements.

  • Opportunity to work on high-impact social media programs for leading brands.

  • Collaborative environment spanning social media, creative, influencer marketing, paid media, analytics, strategy, and sales.

  • Commitment to an inclusive, equitable, and accessible workplace.

  • Accommodation and support available throughout the recruitment process when required.
