Position Summary:The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Designer is responsible for supporting instrumentation and controls design activities for EPC and industrial projects. This role includes development of wiring and loop diagrams, Smart P&IDs, instrument installation details, control panel layouts, and control system design documentation.

- Develop wiring and loop diagramsPrepare standard and Smart P&IDsCreate instrument installation details and instrument location plansSupport control panel and junction box sizing and layoutPerform design calculations including:Wire sizingConduit fillVoltage drop
Requirements:
- US Citizenship RequiredBachelor's DegreeWorking knowledge of applicable federal (including Department of Energy orders), state, and local codes and standardsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to project management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and subcontractorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAdvanced knowledge of discipline codes and standardsAbility to perform work in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal codes, statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerIntermediate computer and software skills to include proficiency in the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
