The Medical Records and Customer Support Specialist is responsible for processing healthcare information requests accurately and efficiently while providing excellent service to patients and stakeholders. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to privacy regulations, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload in a collaborative environment.
- Process medical record requests accurately and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Manage incoming requests received through multiple channels and ensure timely completion within required service timelines.
- Respond to patient questions and requests through phone communication with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA guidelines and protect the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
- Support overflow processing needs during periods of increased volume or coverage requirements.
- Review requests, identify potential issues, and provide feedback regarding request volume and operational challenges.
- Perform general administrative duties to support daily team operations.
- Maintain consistent productivity and quality standards while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Complete required privacy, security, and company training programs to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to achieve service and operational goals.
