Are you a dynamic healthcare leader with a passion for driving clinical excellence and improving patient outcomes? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Clinical Operations to lead our dedicated team of clinical staff, ensuring the highest standards of care across our facilities.
A Director of Clinical Operations in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the healthcare facility, ensuring high-quality patient care delivery, staff management, operational efficiency, compliance with regulations, and strategic planning, all while prioritizing the FQHC's mission of providing accessible healthcare to underserved populations; this includes managing clinical staff, overseeing patient flow, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Operations Management:
• Oversee daily clinical operations across all FQHC sites, including provider assignments, and staff productivity.
• Monitor and analyze clinical data to identify areas for improvement and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and FQHC standards.
• Manage clinical staff performance, including evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
Patient Care Delivery:
• Promote patient-centered care by establishing and maintaining high standards for clinical practice.
• Collaborate with medical providers to optimize patient care, including care coordination and referral management.
• Monitor patient satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
Staff Leadership and Development:
• Recruit, hire, and train qualified clinical staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and providers.
• Provide ongoing clinical education and professional development opportunities for staff.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
Strategic Planning and Compliance:
• Participate in strategic planning initiatives to align clinical operations with the FQHC's overall goals.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
• Collaborate with other departments, including finance, IT, and administration, to achieve organizational objectives.
Minimum Education Required:
- Associate's degree in nursing is required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred
-Licensure/Certifications:
- Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in KY or recognized compact state is required and must remain current throughout employment.
- The license must be free and unrestricted
Minimum Experience Required:
• Two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in providing staff education and training is highly desirable.
• Experience in a rural health, community clinic, federally funded clinic or similar setting is highly desirable.
