Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager based in the United States.
This role sits on an expansion-focused product team responsible for bringing AI-powered solutions into new workflow areas. You’ll own product decisions from customer discovery through launch, defining which workflows to tackle and how the product should solve them at scale. You’ll spend meaningful time observing healthcare professionals and operational teams to understand how work is performed manually and where processes break down. Your insights will shape products that deliver immediate value while creating the foundation for greater automation over time. Working closely with engineers, designers, product operations, forward-deployed teams, and implementation specialists, you’ll balance customer needs with scalable product strategy. This is an opportunity to build products in a fast-moving environment where thoughtful discovery, strong judgment, and hands-on execution directly influence outcomes.
- Own a portfolio of workflows end to end, from discovery and prioritization through launch and the resulting outcomes for customers.
- Conduct customer discovery, workflow observation, and shadowing sessions to understand operational processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate customer insights and operational challenges into clear product opportunities and make informed recommendations about what should be built.
- Determine which capabilities should become scalable product features and which should remain customized for individual customers, working closely with product engineering and forward-deployed teams.
- Establish product priorities and roadmaps based on customer feedback, data, business impact, and the potential for future automation.
- Design solutions that deliver value today while accounting for the evolving role of humans and AI in operational workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to define product requirements, capabilities, and user experiences.
- Write clear product briefs, specifications, acceptance criteria, and decision memos that enable teams to move forward efficiently.
- Own product rollouts from planning through execution, including identifying, managing, and resolving issues that arise during implementation.
- Partner closely with implementation and customer-facing teams to incorporate real-world feedback into product improvements.
- Use data, customer feedback, and product performance insights to continuously refine workflows and product capabilities.
- Build products that can serve an expanding customer base while maintaining a strong understanding of the operational context in which they are used.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of product management experience with ownership of product roadmaps and priorities.
- At least 2 years of experience building software for a specific industry, such as healthcare, legal, logistics, construction, or a similar vertical market.
- Demonstrated experience replacing a manual process with software by deeply understanding how people perform the work and translating those insights into a shipped product.
- Experience using data, customer feedback, and qualitative insights to guide product improvements and prioritization.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to push back on customer requests thoughtfully while maintaining trust and strong relationships.
- Ability to recognize when a technical approach may not adequately address customer needs and collaborate with technical teams to identify practical alternatives.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create clear briefs, specifications, memos, and requirements that minimize unnecessary meetings.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to balance immediate customer value with long-term scalability.
- Preferred experience in prior authorization, revenue cycle management, or specialty healthcare workflows.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup environment is a plus.
- Background in design or engineering is a plus.
- Experience building and launching products powered by language models or other AI technologies is a plus.
Benefits:
- $160,000–$205,000 annual compensation.
- Equity opportunity.
- Fully remote work environment.
- Opportunity to build AI-powered products addressing complex operational challenges in healthcare.
- Direct impact on healthcare organizations, operational efficiency, and patient care.
- Exposure to customer discovery, product strategy, AI automation, and new product development.
- Collaborative work with engineering, design, product operations, implementation, and customer-facing teams.
- Opportunity to contribute to products that evolve from hands-on customer workflows into scalable solutions.
- Career growth within an early-stage, mission-driven environment.
