This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AU Finance Manager (CA/CPA Required) based in Australia.
In this fully remote leadership role, you will take end-to-end ownership of financial operations for a fast-growing Australian renewable energy business, ensuring accuracy, control, and scalability across all accounting processes. You will act as the central finance authority, responsible for month-end reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and continuous process improvement. This is a high-accountability position where your work directly supports operational decision-making and business growth. You will also manage and develop a junior finance team member, setting clear standards and driving performance excellence. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and highly autonomous, requiring strong ownership and a proactive mindset. - Own and manage end-to-end financial operations, including invoicing, reconciliations, purchase orders, warranty collections, and daily banking activities.
- Lead month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, stock reconciliations, and preparation of accurate reporting packs.
- Ensure full compliance with Australian financial regulations, including GST and BAS requirements, maintaining strong audit-ready financial records.
- Manage, coach, and develop a junior Finance Officer, setting KPIs and ensuring high-quality execution of daily financial tasks.
- Drive process optimization and automation across finance workflows, improving efficiency between systems such as Xero, Excel, and CRM platforms.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all accounting processes.
- Support cash flow monitoring, debtor management, and financial reporting to enable informed business decision-making.
- Identify and implement scalable finance processes and SOPs to support long-term business growth.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights, analysis, and operational recommendations.
- Active CA or CPA qualification (mandatory requirement).
- 5+ years of experience in senior finance or finance management roles with full ownership of accounting cycles (AP, AR, GL, reporting).
- Strong hands-on experience with Xero and advanced Excel capabilities for financial analysis and reporting.
- Proven experience managing at least one direct report, with a focus on performance development and accountability.
- Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards, including GST and BAS compliance.
- Strong operational mindset with demonstrated ability to improve and automate financial processes.
- High level of accuracy, ownership, and ability to meet strict deadlines without supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments is highly desirable.
