Position SummaryThe Service HVAC Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, performance, and development of the HVAC Service team. This position provides technical support to HVAC technicians, supervises field activities, ensures quality workmanship, supports customer relationships, and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department. The Service HVAC Supervisor balances administrative leadership with field support responsibilities and works closely with the Service General Manager to achieve operational, financial, and workforce goals.
This role requires strong leadership, communication, technical expertise, accountability, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety, employee development, and customer satisfaction.
This is a safety-sensitive position.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to HVAC Service Technicians.
• Establish priorities and coordinate activities through regular communication with dispatch.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for field personnel.
• Monitor job progress, workmanship quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct jobsite visits, inspections, and quality assurance reviews.
• Gather information necessary for quote development and project planning.
• Support emergency service needs and assist technicians with complex service challenges.
• Coach, mentor, and develop HVAC technicians and apprentices.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and continuous workforce development.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
• Identify skills gaps and coordinate training opportunities.
• Support employee engagement, accountability, and team culture.
• Participate in recruiting, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service and communication.
• Address customer questions, concerns, and service-related issues.
• Support profitability by reviewing quoted work and resource utilization.
• Assist with billing inquiries and customer communications.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinators, Project Managers, and company leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
• Promote and enforce company safety standards and policies.
• Ensure safety meetings, inspections, and required documentation are completed.
• Maintain compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and department goals.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Minimum of four years of HVAC technical experience.

• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Virginia and West Virginia Master Tradesman licenses preferred or required based on operational needs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based systems, and mobile technology.
Full-time position.
Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, averaging approximately 42–45 hours per week. Additional hours, weekends, travel, and after-hours support may be required based on customer needs and business demands.

The Service HVAC Supervisor reports to the Service General Manager and is responsible for supervising HVAC Service Technicians within their assigned division.
Selection Requirements• Valid, non-expired state-issued driver's license
