Job Description

Description:

The Warehouse Manager is accountable for warehouse operations across all sites and shifts: receiving, storage, batch staging, finished goods, shipping and inventory accuracy. The role owns the warehouse team, the physical inventory, and the traceability records that flow through it.

This position is part of a line team responsible for producing safe, quality product. Team members are expected to support other steps in the process as needed, including assisting at stations outside their primary assignment, to keep the line running and to cover breaks and absences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Own warehouse operations across Hunker and the Donora plants, all shifts.

· Lead, develop and hold accountable the Warehouse Supervisors.

· Own inventory accuracy, cycle count programs and physical inventory execution.

· Own warehouse safety performance, with emphasis on powered industrial truck and dock safety.

· Partner with Supply Chain on inbound scheduling and with Production on staging and finished goods.

· Own warehouse layout, slotting, capacity planning and space utilization.

· Manage the warehouse budget including labor, equipment and outside storage.

· Own the warehouse contribution to traceability, recall readiness and audit performance.

· Manage the powered industrial truck fleet including maintenance, certification and replacement planning.

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY

· Accountable for traceability records, lot control and allergen segregation across warehouse operations.

· Own warehouse readiness for SQF audit and mock recall.

· Own pest control, sanitation and GMP compliance in warehouse areas.

· Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices including hairnets, beard nets, uniform and footwear standards, jewelry and personal item restrictions, and handwashing. Follow all allergen segregation, changeover and verification procedures for your area. Barchemy handles milk, soy and tree nut allergens.

· Complete all required records accurately, legibly and at the time the work is performed. Batch sheets, lot records, CCP checks and cleaning logs are food safety documents. Falsifying or back-filling a record is grounds for termination.

· Every Barchemy employee has the authority and the obligation to stop production or place product on hold when they identify a food safety or quality concern, and to report it to a supervisor or Quality immediately. No employee will be penalized for exercising this authority.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY

· Own warehouse safety performance across sites and shifts.

· Own the forklift certification program and operator qualification.

· Partner with EHS on hazard assessment, training and corrective action.

· Report all injuries, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.
