RESPONSIBLE TO: Jericho Way Director
DIRECT REPORTS: None
LOCATION: 3000 Springer Blvd, Little Rock, AR
SALARY: $16.32 per hour, paid bi-weekly

Program Description
Jericho Way is a day resource center, medical respite, and housing program that provides services to individuals facing the immediate crisis of homelessness. We provide a welcoming place where individuals can get a hot meal, relax, shower, do laundry, obtain medical care, attend classes, and speak with case managers. Jericho Way provides housing, medical respite, and connects participants to community-based organizations and resources and helps move homeless men and women to lives of increased stability.

Position Description
The Housing Case Manager (HCM) at Depaul USA’s day resource center and housing program in Little Rock, AR, helps program participants build lives of greater dignity and independence. The Housing Case Manager conducts interviews to determine participants’ needs for Depaul’s housing programs and makes appropriate referrals to outside agencies to meet those needs. The Housing Case Manager also provides direct assistance, coordinates care, and support for each housing participant. The Housing Case Manager will provide assistance to case managers when needed. S/he reports to and works closely with Jericho Way’s Director to move clients toward housing.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
• Completes intake assessment paperwork including housing application for new housing clients.
• HCM will seek candidates for Depaul USA’s Housing program.
• HCM will be responsible for background checks on prospective housing tenants.
• Schedule interview and preview of the unit to prospective tenants.
• Complete leasing paperwork with tenants.
• Complete housing inspections quarterly.
• Provide ongoing case management to tenants.
• HCM will receive deposit, utility, and rent payments from tenants.
• HCM will help assist with lawn services, termite and pest control at tenant’s unit.
• Reports directly to the Jericho Way Director, maintaining regular communication through email, phone, Zoom, and Teams, with daily and weekly interactions.

Additional Tasks and Responsibilities
• HCM will work with the furniture team with furnishing the unit.
• HCM will work on a case management team.
• HCM will work in other areas as needed.

General Responsibilities
• Stays informed of current local and national events, trends, and issues (wherever possible) that impact Depaul USA’s work with the homeless.
• Strives continuously to develop the role in collaboration with the supervisor to ensure that all tasks are undertaken effectively and appropriately, meeting the strategic goals and objectives of Depaul USA.
• Participates in internal/external meetings as required and attends training events, conferences, and other functions as necessary. Participates in regular supervision and annual appraisal and helps in identifying your job-related development and training needs.
• Ensures adherence to all Depaul USA policies and procedures, particularly those relating to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Code of Practice, and Confidentiality.
• Contributes to the effective implementation of Depaul USA’s Equal Opportunities Policy as it affects both the organization and its work with this client group.
• Undertakes the role professionally, always maintaining a high-quality work standard and always working in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Depaul USA.
• Undertakes any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the role.

Qualifications
The ideal Housing Case Manager will be a professional with experience in case management with vulnerable segments of the population. S/he will have experience working with individuals who have faced homelessness and struggled with issues of mental illness, cognitive disabilities, and addictions, as well assisting with housing homeless individuals. The Housing Case Manager will also understand social work theories and methodologies, be familiar with relevant partner agencies, and comprehend the needs of individuals seeking services. The Housing Case Manager should possess the following:
• Associate degree or the equivalence in human services or closely related field with at least two years’ experience working with populations affected by behavioral health diagnoses, addiction, and/or homelessness.
• Exceptional communication, multi‐tasking, conflict management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to organize tasks, events, people, and delegate effectively.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment when appropriate and strong decision-making skills.
• Experience working with diverse populations and the ability to meet tenants in their homes or in the communities where they reside.

In the course of performing the job, the person in this position typically spends time sitting, standing, climbing stairs, walking, driving, carrying (20lbs), lifting (20lbs), operating a computer keyboard, and making and receiving telephone calls. Subjected to outside environmental conditions.
Special Requirement
• Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with Depaul USA’s Motor Vehicle Policy during the course of employment. Additionally, occasional use of a personal vehicle may be necessary.
• Must have a personal vehicle with valid automobile insurance meeting Depaul USA’s minimum coverage requirement of $100,000 liability; proof of insurance will be required and updated every six months.

Work Schedule:
• Primarily in-person from 3000 Springer Blvd, Little Rock, AR.
• Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday or Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am-12:30pm. CST.
