OEM Hotel Accounting Manager

Sheraton Denver West Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hotel Accounting Manager to oversee the hotel's daily accounting operations and support the property's financial success. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, assisting with month-end close, and partnering with hotel leadership to ensure strong financial performance.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the hotel's day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, vendor maintenance, invoice processing, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
  • Monitor daily revenue activity and assist with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
  • Work closely with hotel leadership to monitor expenses, analyze financial performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Assist with special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous accounting experience required; hospitality or hotel accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with hotel systems such as BirchStreet, M3 Accounting, ProfitSword, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with hotel leadership and corporate teams.
