Led by two veterinary technician specialists, Heather Carter and Christine Weaver , our Learning and Development Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications (such as a VTS) if desired.

Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on RVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days.
What does your day look like with Partner?
PVESC is looking for an anesthesia-focused RVT. Your primary case load will be neurology procedures (MRIs, surgeries, and CSF taps). You will be part of an experiences team consisting of 2-3 other RVTs, 2-3 veterinary assistants, and 2 neurologists. When not engaged with anesthesia procedures, involvement with inpatient care for neurologic patients or anesthesia procedures in other departments (primary ER) may be encouraged.
You will coordinate with specialists to create drug protocols and anesthetic plans. You will work with a diverse patient population that will benefit from your advanced skills and talents. Our hospital also offers a collaborate atmosphere with support from multiple other specialties: emergency, critical care, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and oncology.
This role is ideal for the licensed veterinary technician who is focused on stellar anesthetic patient care, working with doctors who rely on your anesthetic knowledge to make informed decisions, and using advanced equipment to promote a safe/stress-free environment. Our psychologically safe workplace provides the framework for you to be successful in this role. Our VTS in anesthesia and analgesia ensures you attain and achieve any additional training you need.
This role is a four 10-hour shift role that ideally participates in optional weekend on-call. Utilizing your skills, this role also supports the training of safe anesthesia practices for your peers in the hospital.

- Onsite advanced diagnostics, such as MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy and more
- Minimum 1 year veterinary technician experience
- Veterinary ER or Urgent Care experience is preferred, but not required
- Graduate of accredited veterinary technology program; veterinary technician “in good standing” so applicant is or eligible to transfer registration to Maryland
- Knowledge and dedication to high standard anesthesia and patient care practices

Physical Requirements (ability to)
- Quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
- Stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
- Lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
