Job Description
The General Manager (GM) is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel in accordance with our vision and mission statement and core values. The General Manager’s responsibilities include the maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards. The General Manager is also responsible for the hiring and training of all hotel staff. As a leader, we’re looking for a self-starter and understand the position requires 24-hour availability
Compensation:$72,000 - $77,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Recruit, train, and mentor hotel staff, fostering a culture of growth and teamwork.
- Oversee budgets, maximize revenue, and manage financial records to achieve financial goals.
- Perform administrative duties, such as payroll, bank deposits, and completing operational checklists.
- Conduct daily check-ins with department heads to align on priorities and maintain operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage teams effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- 1 -3 years of previous experience as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or department manager preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; advanced education in hospitality preferred.
