Job Description


We are looking for a highly motivated Engineering Technician to help grow and support ABCorp’s 3D Additive Manufacturing segment. This position will be responsible for maintaining production by scheduling and maintaining 3D equipment. This is an opportunity to combine creativity with engineering expertise.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Collaborate with team members on product design, research & development, marketing and manufacturing teams to create highly functional products or services that are profitable and meet user needs

· Manage creating builds and production schedule with Operations Manager

· Assist in part organization

· Assist in quality when needed

· Conduct and/or use research on user experience and needs, current market trends and general functionality

· Work closely with the research and development team to integrate new improvements into designs and with quality team to ensure that quality standards are met

· Ability to maintain 3D equipment – HP training is required for this at ABCorp3D expense -

· Ability to use engineering inspection equipment

· Other duties in the department as business needs arise



Education and Experience Required:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Design, Civil or Electrical engineering or related field.

· Advanced computer skills

· CAD Knowledge, NX, OnShape, AutoCAD or SolidWorks

· Materialize Software or 3D printing software knowledge

· Analytical & Numeracy skills

· Additive Manufacturing Experience a Plus


Skills and Abilities Required:

· Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Able to work independently and suggest solutions to problems, take ownership of assigned tasks

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change

· Creative problem-solving ability

· Driven, self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative

· Willing to roll their sleeve up and work with hands to fix equipment

· Able to lift 50lbs
