Sr. Marketing Manager
NATURE OF WORK:
Performs professional work in serving as an active strategic leader with comprehensive responsibilities, works with the Marketing team to ensure successful development and implementation of the District’s strategic plan. Oversees all activities of the Marketing team.
SUPERVISION:
Work is performed under limited supervision and direction with only unusual cases referred to the supervisor. Reports to the Director of Marketing.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
· Oversee and manage all creative and advertising activities within the Marketing Department to support the District, its facilities, and events.
· Provides updates to the Director of Marketing on department projects and event marketing.
· Reinforces department goals and vision to all direct reports and continually implements this strategy into overall communications.
· Responsible for planning and execution of District marketing, advertising strategies, and marketing activations.
· Coordinates marketing materials and performs market research with various leaders and partners on marketing campaigns. The intended results of these strategies are to drive growth in revenue, brand recognition, customer database and repeat visits.
· Directs activities to develop new markets, increase market share and maintain a competitive position.
· Lead POC for all large marketing campaigns, including creating the marketing plan and strategy, budget allocation and execution (NCAA, Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, PFD Music Festival, etc.)
· Reviews and approves advertising campaigns for events including television, radio, outdoor and print ad buys. Monitors performance of marketing plans and strategies with the Marketing Manager and Coordinators against forecasts and budgets and adjusts as appropriate.
· Responsible for media buying of TV, OTT, Radio, OOH, Digital, and Print advertising. Works with station partners on promotions and added value marketing efforts.
· Compiles, reviews and approves Marketing Settlement packets including paid and added value efforts completed to support the show.
· Oversees and responsible for brand management of the District and its properties.
· Manages the Marketing Department budget by careful tracking of spends, completing invoice coding, and reallocation of funds as needed.
· Oversees the conceptualization and execution of Marketing and Entertainment sponsorships.
· Works closely with Marketing team to create print and electronic collateral and signage to support District facilities and events, drive marketing campaigns, enhance the backstage and fan experience, oversee day of show content rotations, manage premium and group sales campaigns, and coordinate photoshoots and media events as needed.
· Oversees the work of designers, advertising agencies, vendors, partners, and all other contacts dictated by a project.
· Maintains an awareness of local, regional and industry market trends and conducts pertinent market analyses to develop promotions and special events to drive new customers to events.
· Works closely with the District Management Team to address public issues.
· Develops communication strategy with the Director of Marketing by creating, managing, and distributing news releases and other press advisories.
· Serves as a primary contact for District events and develops strong direct relationships with local media. Arranges Early Morning PR interview opportunities and may act as the venue representative during coverage to ensure a smooth run.
· Manages Marketing Department through Asana project management software, email and verbal communication. Responsible for weekly check-ins with departments and co-workers to ensure everyone has the information and tools needed to complete their tasks.
· Responsible for managing the part time/internship program.
· Completes annual employee evaluations of support staff.
· Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing. Ten years of experience and progressive responsibility with a broad focus in venue marketing or live entertainment, including strategic planning, advertising, public relations, and media, design.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization, outside business contacts, and with the public.
· Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams, including full-time and part-time staff, and external creative partners or agencies.
· Proven experience in media buying across TV, OTT, radio, outdoor, digital, and print platforms, including performance tracking and budget optimization.
· Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration including personnel practices and employment laws, program budgeting, general accounting, financial analysis, and fiscal management practices.
· Ability to prepare complex reports, correspondence, charts, layouts, forms, handbooks, memoranda and other information and instructions with strong mathematical skills.
· Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
· Must be very flexible to adapt to changing procedures, systems, and event loads while maintaining a good overall attitude towards fellow employees, and clientele.
· Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially.
· Strong organizational, prioritization, time management skills, and attention to detail required. Proven problem-solving and multitasking skills are essential.
· Proficient in Office 365, and project management software (Asana preferred). Ability to learn and utilize additional software programs, such as Prism and Momentus, as needed.
· Must be able to work independently, stay focused on overall current objectives and manage time appropriately.
· Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The position requires being outside in different weather conditions for some of the events.

SALARY AND STATUS:
Salary $77,133 - $107,987 Exempt
