POSITION PURPOSE |
The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) supports the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting providers in the coordination and administration of primary care, behavioral health, and patient care management services. Serving as a key point of contact for patients, the CCMA helps create a welcoming and supportive clinical environment while ensuring effective communication between patients and providers. This position is responsible for supporting clinical operations, facilitating patient flow, documenting accurate health information, and reinforcing provider instructions to promote positive patient outcomes and continuity of care. The CCMA contributes to the organization’s commitment to patient-centered care by supporting initiatives related to Patient Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) recognition, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and the effective utilization of electronic health records (EHR) and other health information technologies. Through collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary care teams, the CCMA plays an essential role in enhancing patient experience, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the overall mission and goals of the clinic. |
