About the Role

The Lakeview Hotel Restaurant Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the restaurant while delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards of food quality.

This position oversees daily activities, supports and manages staff, and helps ensure every guest has a memorable dining experience. The Supervisor is responsible for training and mentoring team members, fostering a positive work environment, and implementing best practices related to service and food safety.

The role also requires effective communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless and timely service. Ultimately, the Lakeview Hotel Restaurant Supervisor contributes to the restaurant’s overall success by improving guest satisfaction and supporting operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous supervisory experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry.

  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in hospitality management or a related field.

  • Experience in fine dining, hotel dining, or upscale casual restaurant environments.

  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software.

  • Certification in food safety or hospitality management.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Lakeview Hotel Restaurant and ensure employees consistently follow established service standards.

  • Train, mentor, support, and evaluate team members to strengthen their skills and performance.

  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.

  • Manage inventory and supplies, including placing orders as needed to maintain appropriate stock levels.

  • Handle guest questions, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house employees to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and service.

  • Promote and enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.

  • Assist with employee scheduling and daily task assignments.

  • Monitor service quality and address operational concerns as they arise.

  • Support restaurant operations during periods of high guest volume.

  • Work collaboratively with hotel and resort departments to support an exceptional overall guest experience.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and CompetenciesLeadership

Strong leadership skills are essential for guiding employees, setting clear expectations, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Communication

Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for coordinating with employees, management, kitchen staff, hotel departments, and guests.

Problem-Solving

The Supervisor must be able to address guest concerns, employee issues, and operational challenges promptly and professionally.

Time Management

Strong time-management and organizational skills are required to prioritize responsibilities, coordinate daily activities, and manage employee schedules effectively.

Guest Service

A commitment to exceptional guest service is essential for creating positive dining experiences and maintaining the service standards of the Lakeview Hotel Restaurant.

Technical Knowledge

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software is preferred and supports the effective tracking of inventory, sales, and operational information.
