PositionSummary:

The Senior Director of Commercial Finance leads the commercial finance function by driving financial strategy, financial DCF modeling, forecasting, and profitability analysis. This role is a key business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Product teams across various businesses like Clinical, Pharma and ODS. This position requires a deep understanding of both finance and business operations, with a strong background in scaling finance functions in high-growth environments.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Work cross-functionally with Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Product) leaders to support revenue growth, optimize pricing strategies, Incentive comp strategies and influence business decisions through financial insights
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for commercial functions. Develop models to drive revenue, margin, and customer profitability analyses.
  • Performance Management: Create and manage KPIs and dashboards to evaluate business performance, sales productivity, customer acquisition cost (CAC), LTV, and ROI on marketing spend
  • New Product Modeling: Partner with product management to build financial models supporting new product launch. Inclusive of presenting out to leadership and tracking performance once launched.
  • Revenue & Margin Optimization: Analyze drivers of revenue and gross margin performance. Recommend strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing Commercial Finance team. Provide mentorship, performance management, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, the CFO, and CEO when needed

Additional Responsibilities (may be assigned):

  • May attend continuing education programs or workshops; present best-practices to team; Participate in on-going Corporate training as assigned.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned my Finance leadership team

Experience,Educationand Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or Economics; MBA/CPA/CMA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, including significant experience in commercial finance or FP&A
  • 5+ years of experience of people management experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, business performance management, accounting principles, and financial controls
  • Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex data into actionable business insights
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial planning tools, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence/data visualization platforms
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders, influence stakeholders, communicate effectively with executives, and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or other regulated industries preferred

Travel Required:

Ability to travel as required by role (10-25% of the time)



The General Accounting focus specializes in producing timely, accurate, and reliable financial information. Prepares profit and loss, balance sheet accounts, group consolidations, general ledger journals, accruals, and prepayments. Reconciles accounts. Manages and controls the fixed asset register and capital expenditure controls.This role provides enterprise-level leadership, exercising executive judgment to drive company-wide results and overall organizational performance.
