The Cash Application Team Lead will oversee a team of five Cash Application Specialists, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of daily cash application activities. This role will involve supervising, coaching, and reviewing the work and performance of your team members. The Cash Application Team Lead will also manage the escalation of issues, handle complex reconciliations, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five Cash Application Specialists.
  • Review and approve cash application activities performed by the team to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Oversee the daily cash application process (including write-offs and adjustments), ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments and write-offs/adjustments.
  • Supervise the reconciliation of daily cash applications with bank statements, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for the team, handling complex issues and ensuring efficient problem resolution. Coordinate with internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and lead initiatives to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on cash application activities, team performance, and key metrics to management.
  • Conduct employee reviews

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or a related finance role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead position.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with multicurrency’s (USD, CAD, EUR and GBP)
  • Experience working with EFT/ACH, lockbox boxes and credit card payments.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A self-motivator who is comfortable thinking (outside of the box) and enjoys learning new systems/processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., Vlookup, Sumif, pivot tables)
  • Familiarity with working with larger ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in a remote work environment and a proactive approach to leadership and problem-solving.
  • US Shift with 2 days work from office and 3 days work from home
    P.N.: Timing and work from home my change as per leadership decision.
  • At Month End there could be the requirement to work after 4pm to ensure all cash and receipts are entered and balanced.
