Description:

The Utilities and Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and reliability of Arcadia’s facilities and utility systems. Arcadia’s utility systems include: Waste Water treatment, Boilers, Air Compressors, Ammonia and Conventional Refrigeration and HVAC systems, and Water Treatment systems (Process Water System and RO water systems). This position is also responsible for the facility and buildings maintenance of all Arcadia’s sites. Additionally, this position is responsible for the leadership and development of the facility and utility maintenance techs across a 7 day operation. Finally, you will be required to work closely with other departments to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency. Your leadership will be critical in driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a positive work environment for your team.

Requirements:

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime, improve operational efficiency and reliability, and extend the life of assets.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations
  • Supervise, train, and mentor your technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development
  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial targets
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with management to develop long-term maintenance strategies and capital improvement plans
  • Support the development and maintenance of maintenance policies, procedures, and protocols. Effectively track compliance and execution of maintenance work through the use the CMMS.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs for employees, promoting a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and stay current on industry regulations, contributing insights to maintain compliance and best practices, with a focus on Waste Water and PSM regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team
  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning, ensuring response strategies are up-to-date and effective.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance and facilities programs, processes, and practices.
  • Track and analyze metrics, using data to recommend and implement strategies that enhance maintenance performance and outcomes.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and food safety by following company rules and standards, enforcing the requirements, and addressing violations or concerns to the leadership team.

What We’re Looking for:

  • CARO/CIRO certification is required or enrolled for certification within one year.
  • Experience in maintenance and facilities management, especially within the food and beverage sector or a manufacturing environment.
  • A solid understanding of industry regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure operational and compliance objectives are met.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management tools and software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, coach and mentor, embracing a learning and development team-based environment, regardless of role.
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization and finishing skills; comfort in change as a state of being.
