Data Capture Operations - Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Capture Operations - Project Manager based in Canada.

This role is an opportunity to support the delivery of innovative infrastructure inspection projects powered by advanced technology, robotics, and data intelligence.
As the operational hub for global data capture initiatives, you will ensure projects move smoothly from contract handoff through successful execution.
You will coordinate teams, clients, logistics, and technical resources to bring complex deployments together efficiently.
The position is ideal for an organized and proactive project professional who enjoys solving operational challenges and improving processes.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, geospatial, and client-facing functions in a fast-growing technology environment.

Accountabilities:

As a Data Capture Operations Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of complex data capture projects. You will act as the central point of communication between clients, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring every deployment is well organized, clearly communicated, and delivered successfully.

  • Coordinate data capture projects from initial handoff through final completion.
  • Translate client requirements and signed agreements into detailed execution plans.
  • Build project schedules, timelines, milestones, and deployment plans.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve scheduling or operational challenges.
  • Manage multiple concurrent deployments across different regions and locations.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for clients before and during field activities.
  • Coordinate client communication, including scope clarification, site access requirements, scheduling updates, logistics, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Data Capture, Geospatial, Engineering, Product, Operations, and Finance teams to maintain alignment.
  • Coordinate field deployment logistics, including equipment shipments, drone operations, safety documentation, site requirements, and resource planning.
  • Work with operational leaders to schedule technicians, balance workloads, improve resource utilization, and forecast future needs.
  • Ensure clear communication between clients, leadership, field technicians, contractors, drone operators, and technical teams.
  • Develop and improve operational processes, documentation standards, project workflows, and communication templates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and support scalable operations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an organized and detail-oriented project professional with experience coordinating complex operations, managing stakeholders, and supporting successful project delivery. You should be comfortable working across technical and business teams while adapting quickly in a fast-moving environment.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, logistics, client delivery, or project management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted operational point of contact.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and create practical solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in changing environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms.
  • Comfortable collaborating with technical teams and understanding operational workflows.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • PMP certification or active progress toward certification.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, surveying, infrastructure, utilities, drones, or field operations.
  • Knowledge of GIS, UAV operations, or infrastructure inspection.
  • Experience coordinating field teams or technical crews.
  • Experience managing international logistics.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and equipment coordination.
