This fully remote role offers the opportunity to support critical healthcare technology systems that directly impact patient care and operational excellence.
The Application Analyst Beacon will provide technical expertise, configuration support, and ongoing optimization for Epic Beacon applications across a complex healthcare environment.
The role combines application management, workflow improvement, troubleshooting, and collaboration with clinical and operational stakeholders.
You will contribute to system reliability by analyzing issues, implementing solutions, and supporting enhancements throughout the application lifecycle.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help translate business needs into effective technology solutions.

The Application Analyst Beacon is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing healthcare applications while ensuring reliable performance and alignment with organizational needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Epic Beacon applications in accordance with service standards and operational requirements.
- Analyze business and technical needs, gather requirements, and translate them into effective application designs and workflow solutions.
- Configure, test, implement, monitor, and maintain application functionality, workflows, integrations, and related technologies.
- Support the full application lifecycle, including planning, implementation, optimization, maintenance, upgrades, and eventual decommissioning.
- Document current and future-state workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical partners to resolve issues and support application enhancements.
- Manage small to mid-sized projects, coordinating resources, timelines, testing activities, and implementation efforts.
- Develop and maintain testing plans, scripts, documentation, and training materials for end users and team members.
- Support reporting needs by understanding business requirements and assisting with reporting solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations, command center activities, project meetings, and operational support activities as needed.
- Maintain required Epic certifications and stay current with application updates, industry practices, and technical standards.
- Follow established documentation, change management, security, and configuration management processes.
The ideal candidate brings healthcare IT experience, Epic Beacon expertise, and strong problem-solving abilities. This role requires someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage technical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Epic Beacon experience and certification required, with ongoing certification maintenance as applicable.
- Minimum of two years of related professional experience, or equivalent experience through education and healthcare technology work.
- Experience supporting electronic medical record (EMR) systems and healthcare applications.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of application support, system analysis, workflows, and operating environments.
- Ability to evaluate complex problems, gather relevant information, identify solutions, and make sound recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams to support integrations, implementations, and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project.
- Ability to work remotely with occasional travel for trainings, meetings, or business needs.
- Willingness to participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support during implementations or critical events.
