Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Apartment Maintenance / HVAC Technician for a 76-unit multifamily apartment community. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and able to handle HVAC service, apartment make-readies, general maintenance, and resident service requests.
Schedule & Housing
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
This position also requires participation in an after-hours on-call rotation for maintenance emergencies.
An onsite apartment may be available if needed, making this a great opportunity for a qualified technician who would benefit from living at the community.
Responsibilities
Perform HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance.
Complete apartment make-readies/turns efficiently and to community standards.
Diagnose and complete general resident maintenance work orders.
Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, leaks, and related items.
Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, fixtures, and other common apartment electrical issues.
Perform painting, touch-ups, drywall patching, and other make-ready work.
Inspect vacant apartments and prepare them for new residents.
Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property.
Maintain common areas, equipment, and property facilities.
Respond professionally and promptly to resident maintenance concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Participate in the property's on-call schedule and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when assigned.
Follow company policies and all applicable safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
EPA Certification – Required
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certification – Required
Previous apartment, multifamily, or residential maintenance experience preferred.
HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general apartment maintenance.
Experience completing apartment make-readies.
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and work independently.
Dependable, punctual, and able to manage multiple work orders and priorities.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to perform the physical duties associated with apartment maintenance.
Must be available for scheduled after-hours on-call duties.
