Position Summary – Sourcing Manager
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing member to identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers of plumbing, HVAC, building products and components. The ideal candidate combines strong sourcing and negotiation skills with hands-on product knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, and can navigate global supply chains while ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness
Key Responsibilities
Identify, vet, and onboard domestic and international suppliers for plumbing and HVAC products, parts, and materials.
Drive sourcing initiatives in alignment with global sales and operational strategy.
Coordinate and manage projects across cross functional teams.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and contracts to secure favorable and sustainable agreements.
Evaluate supplier capabilities, certifications, and quality systems against plumbing and HVAC industry standards (e.g., ASME, UL, ASHRAE, NSF, FM, ETL).
Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing, and geopolitical factors affecting supply of new and existing products.
Participate with import/export logistics coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and compliance teams.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to source components, meeting technical specifications and code requirements.
Develop and maintain a diversified supplier base to mitigate single-source risk and supply chain disruptions.
Assist in tracking supplier performance metrics (on-time delivery, defect rates, responsiveness) and lead corrective action when needed.
Maintain accurate sourcing records, cost analyses, and supplier scorecards.
Participate & lead meetings and calls within and outside of standard business hours.
Travel abroad as required to develop & maintain new and existing key product & supplier relationships.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Demonstrated experience sourcing plumbing and/or HVAC products, components, or materials.
Basic working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, terminology, and industry standards/certifications.
Proven experience managing both domestic and international supplier relationships.
Strong negotiation and cost-analysis skills.
Familiarity with import/export regulations and international logistics.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across time zones and cultures.
Proficiency with ERP/procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Experience Sourcing from manufacturers in Asia Pacific, Mexico & European Regions
