DIETL by Rock-It supports a worldwide network of collectors, auction houses, galleries, and museums with specialized freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and secure climate-controlled storage.

Location: New York City, NY

Work Schedule: Schedule varies based on workload and may require after-hours and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete TSA training and maintain required certifications and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, carriers, agents, and internal teams to manage transportation logistics, schedules, budgets, and project requirements.
  • Prepare project estimates, budgets, invoices, and shipping documentation, including air waybills, packing lists, delivery orders, and customs-related paperwork.
  • Research and develop transportation plans, routing options, shipping schedules, and project timelines to ensure successful execution.
  • Advise clients on appropriate packing, handling, and transportation solutions for fine art and other specialized shipments.
  • Arrange domestic and international freight bookings with airlines, ocean carriers, and other transportation providers.
  • Support import and export operations, including customs clearance requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Obtain and prepare documentation required for U.S. Customs entries and other government agencies, including TSA, USDA, OFAC, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regulations.
  • Provide on-site shipment support, live documentation, and courier assistance as required, including at airport cargo facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Interest in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, freight forwarding, fine art handling, or international trade.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prepare, review, and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to learn transportation regulations, import/export procedures, TSA requirements, and other industry compliance standards.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative and learn new processes.
