Facilities Assistant

Reports to: AVP Facilities

Supervisors Direct: NA

Classification: Non-exempt

Revised: 06/2026

Role:

Assist the Facilities Department in maintaining all ALLIANCE Credit Union locations by performing general maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, and groundskeeping duties. Responsible for ensuring facilities, equipment, and properties are safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, pressure washing, and general upkeep of buildings and grounds to support a professional environment for employees and members. Contribute to the overall appearance, safety, and operational efficiency of all branch locations through timely completion of maintenance requests and routine facility inspections.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Help assist the in-house ALLIANCE projects.
  • Manage all building Audits during and after hours.
  • Performs daily general maintenance duties: including moving furniture, boxes, setting up for special events, building checks for security, etc.
  • Operate pressure washing equipment.
  • Wash, dry, and detail vehicles.
  • Clean exterior of branches.
  • Ensure cleanliness of branch interiors including mopping, sweeping, throwing trash, vacuuming rooms and offices, etc.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance
  • Inspects branches for repairs/improvement recommendations.
  • Supervise outside contractors that perform work inside Alliance Credit Union branches.
  • Mows, trims, and rakes all landscaping.
  • Keep up with and maintain all landscape beds.
  • Pick up and remove trash.
  • Prepares soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs.
  • Operates Heavy Equipment and various types of power equipment including, but not limited to lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers.
  • Completes snow removal tasks as needed in winter months.
  • Ability to drive a truck and pull a trailer.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
  • Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors performing work at ALLIANCE Credit Union facilities to ensure compliance with organizational standards and safety requirements.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:

Experience:

Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

Education:

High School Education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills:

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. This job requires reliability, communication, physical fitness/agility, attention to detail and customer service skills. You must have the ability to work independently.
