Weekend Caregiver (In-Home Care) – Blackfoot, ID

About the Role

Looking for a rewarding weekend job where you can make a real difference? Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to join our team serving clients throughout the Blackfoot area.

As a Weekend Caregiver, you'll provide one-on-one, non-medical in-home care that helps seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Every weekend shift is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships while improving someone's quality of life.

What You'll Do

Depending on each client's individualized care plan, responsibilities may include:

  • Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Preparing meals, snacks, and encouraging proper hydration
  • Performing light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, changing linens, and tidying living spaces
  • Providing medication reminders (no handling or administering medications)
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, repositioning, walkers, and wheelchairs
  • Providing transportation for appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and approved outings
  • Offering respite care so family caregivers can take a well-deserved break
  • Documenting services provided and reporting any changes or concerns to the office
  • Supporting each client's independence, routines, dignity, and personal preferences

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Kind, patient, and professional attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred

  • Previous caregiving, CNA, home care, healthcare, or customer service experience

No prior caregiving experience is required. We provide training and value reliability, compassion, and a willingness to learn.

Position Details

  • Location: Blackfoot, Moreland, Firth, and surrounding communities
  • Schedule: Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with flexible hours available
  • Employment: Part-time and full-time weekend opportunities
  • Type: In-home, non-medical caregiving
