Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly analytical, process-driven Inventory Manager to oversee inventory operations within our distribution center. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, integrity, and efficient product flow across a high-volume, high-SKU environment by leading the put away, replenishment, consolidation, and cycle count functions. The Inventory Manager partners closely with Operations to optimize warehouse capacity, maintain inventory accuracy, and oversee supply inventories and damaged goods processes. The ideal candidate is a Full Circle superuser with strong inventory control expertise, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to develop scalable processes, reporting, and controls that support operational excellence and business growth.

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all inventory control functions to ensure inventory accuracy and maintain the integrity of warehouse inventory records.
  • Manage put away, replenishment, and consolidation processes to optimize storage utilization and product accessibility.
  • Develop and execute cycle count programs, investigate inventory variances, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Lead annual and periodic physical inventories, ensuring accurate reconciliation and timely reporting of results.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory, both physical and virtual location accuracy, and dwell times, within the warehouse management system
  • Partner with Operations to develop capacity plans that maximize warehouse space utilization and support business growth.
  • Manage inventory levels for shipping supplies, office supplies, and operational materials, including shipping boxes, Staples, and Amazon orders.
  • Oversee inventory for candles, gifting materials, and store supplies to ensure product availability and accurate inventory tracking.
  • Manage the damaged goods process, including inspection, disposition, inventory adjustments, and reporting.
  • Coordinate the processing and reconciliation of sample sale returns to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Analyze inventory trends, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement best practices to increase operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control procedures, policies, and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Planning, Merchandising, and Finance to resolve inventory issues and support business objectives.
  • Prepare and present inventory performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, cycle count results, and inventory variance reporting.
  • Train, coach, and develop inventory team members while promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of inventory management experience in a high-volume, high-SKU, fast-paced warehouse environment; eCommerce or retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Full Circle or WMS system; prior superuser or administrator experience required.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis.
  • Deep understanding of inventory control best practices, including cycle counts, slotting, adjustments, aging, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, and IT teams to explain inventory variances and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a data-driven, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to build, document, and scale processes and systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs.
  • This position requires frequent use of walking, pulling, pushing, standing, bending, and stooping.
