Personal Care Assistant - (Female Caregiver)

Location: Lexington Ky
Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 10am-4pm (30 hours)

At Golden Years, compassion is at the heart of everything we do. We’re currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide one-on-one care and meaningful companionship to a client. This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy, understands the importance of dignity and patience in caregiving, and enjoys creating joy in daily routines.

Home environment: Client lives alone in a clean, organized, smoke-free home with no pets or infestations.
Transportation and errands: Caregiver should be willing to assist with errands and travel.

Personal care: Assistance is needed with dressing and likely safe transfers/mobility support. Client reports difficulty bending the left knee and experiences pain-management injections.

Supervision: Caregiver must remain in the apartment at all times except during their designated break.

Household support: Daily toilet cleaning is specifically requested. Caregiver may complete other household tasks while remaining available to monitor and assist the client.

Caregiver conduct: Phone use should be limited to necessary work-related needs or emergencies; the client does not want a caregiver who is frequently on their phone.

Best personality fit: Warm, personable, communicative, and able to laugh and joke with the client. The caregiver should enjoy conversation, be respectful of the client’s independence, and provide encouragement without being controlling.

Client interests: Watching television and going out about once a month for a pedicure.
