Position Overview
Talantage is seeking an experienced Assistant Division Manager – Operations & Facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations oversight, technical/engineering expertise, emergency response, and staff supervision, with an emphasis on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
This role supports the Division Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing facility systems, leading emergency response efforts, supervising staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the facilities portfolio.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Division Manager in planning, overseeing, and administering specialized engineering functions.
• Manage and coordinate daily division operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, departmental policies, and organizational goals.
• Provide leadership during routine and emergency operations, including after-hours, nights, weekends, and on-call response as necessary.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, and sealing engineering plans and program documents as required.
• Supervise and evaluate subordinate staff, including professional, technical, and operational personnel, making recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions.
• Support execution of small projects in partnership with Design and Construction, utilizing in-house resources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex facility system issues, specifically in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Monitor and support the development of the Division's operating budget.
• Represent the Division in meetings with internal departments, external agencies, and community organizations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Professional Licensure: Registered Professional Engineer with the Missouri Board of Engineers, Architects, and Land Surveyors.
• Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
• Licensure: Possession of a current, valid driver's license.

Additional Information

• This position requires 24/7 availability to respond in person to facility-related emergencies (except during approved leave).
• Work will involve collaboration with multiple departments and external stakeholders, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.
