The Matrix Sciences Laboratory in our Pasco, Washington location supports the agricultural and environmental communities throughout the pacific northwest. It serves the agricultural, industrial and environmental industries’ testing with a comprehensive range of capabilities and services.

Role Summary:

The Analyst role performs routine laboratory analyses and technical method development.

What you’ll do:

• Perform analyses on soils, plants, and fertilizers.
• Experience with ICP-OES, FIA and other instrumental analysis techniques.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Performing routine maintenance of instruments.
• Conforming to lab QA/QC practices.
• Troubleshooting as needed.
• Method Development.
• Aid in the refinement of our analysis methods and stay on top of recent scientific advances in the field.
• Be adventurous and skilled to try out new methods to fulfill client needs.

What you have:

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related field. Candidates without a degree will be considered with proper previous work experience.
• Two years of successful chemical testing lab experience is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Windows based computer programs.
• Familiarization with LIMS.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Candidates must be eligible to work unrestricted in the U.S.
