We’re on the hunt for a Customer Experience and Brand Manager to lead our tasting room / cellar door, bring our brand to life and share our seriously delicious gin far and wide.

About the Role
Seppeltsfield Road Distillers is seeking a dynamic and passionate Customer Experience and Brand Manager to lead guest experiences and drive brand communications at our Barossa home. This unique role blends leadership in front-of-house operations with creative brand strategy. You’ll manage our tasting room and team, deliver exceptional customer experiences and lead the development and execution of marketing, communications and events. You’ll be a face of the brand, on the ground with customers and behind the scenes building engagement, relationships and brand presence across local, national and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
This role is divided into four key focus areas:
- Tasting Room & Experiences / Tourism 50%

Tasting Room & Experiences / Tourism Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the tasting room, tours, and VIP experiences
Recruit, train, lead and inspire a tasting room team
Maintain a high quality, seasonal cocktail menu that reflects SRD brand and product offering
Deliver exceptional customer service and high-end hospitality experiences
Coordinate offsite and onsite tastings, corporate events, and regional collaborations
Drive relationships with industry peers, tourism operators and tourism industry bodies
Marketing, Communications & Brand
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms
Manage and create content for social media, newsletters, blogs, and digital ads (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Maintain and update the SRD website and eCommerce platforms
Manage customer databases with a focus on growth and retention
Analyse campaign and social media data to improve marketing performance
Coordinate PR opportunities, press releases, and collaborations with media and tourism stakeholders
Build, nurture, and manage relationships with key media contacts, brand partners, influencers, and industry stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and engagement
Manage visual branding assets and promotional material including photography, creative assets, packaging and design requirements
Assist in developing and communicating brand values and identity
Ensure data control, compliance and privacy best practices
Manage SRD’s community partnerships and sponsorship programs
Events
Identify event opportunities, and prepare event feasibility plans, including management, oversight and strategy for SRD participation in events
Manage event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial objectives are met for on-site and off-site events.
Overseeing logistics, staffing and event management and event marketing
Business & Administration
Manage WH&S standards, liquor licensing and compliance within the Tasting Room and Events
Oversee team management, rostering and payroll approvals for Tasting Room and Events team
Manage purchasing, staffing rosters, inventory planning and tasting room budgets
Set and manage sales targets and report on performance metrics and marketing budgets
Essential Criteria
Experience in cellar door or other premium hospitality management
Marketing experience, ideally in FMCG, spirits or tourism industries
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of social media, email marketing and advertising platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Klayvio and Shopify (or similar platforms)
Strong leadership, time management and organisational skills
A love of high-quality craft spirits and hospitality
Responsible Person badge
SA Driver's Licence
Desirable Criteria
WSET Level 2 Spirits or similar certification
Professional qualifications in Marketing, Hospitality, or Tourism
First Aid certificate
Forklift license
Prior experience in event management, distilling, bottling or packaging
Personal Qualities
Creative, passionate and motivated
A strong sense of professionalism, presentation, and storytelling
Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence

Enthusiasm for innovation and improvement
