About This Position
The Tampa Bay Rays are seeking a skilled and motivated AV/IT Field Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and optimization of voice, data, and audio/visual systems throughout the stadium. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure wired and wireless voice and data networks.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot video surveillance systems, including cameras, switches, and servers.
- Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber, and Coax).
- Relocate, remove, and reconfigure audio/visual, voice, and data equipment across the stadium as needed.
- Test, diagnose, and perform minor repairs on A/V, and data equipment.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service for all user requests and project tasks.
- Deliver, set up, and configure A/V, and data hardware for events and operations.
- Identify and isolate hardware, network, and line issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and system performance evaluations on all stadium A/V and network systems.
- Collaborate with Help Desk and technical teams to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
- Adjust and document system configurations to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Configure and support conference rooms for meetings, briefings, and video conferences, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
- Support the Help Desk team with assigned daily tasks, maintenance activities, and ongoing projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience with A/V systems, structured cabling, and network equipment installation is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative technical team.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
